• How do I get a copy of my 1098 statement?

  Log in to your account and you can print your 1098 statement from last year. For 1098 statements from 2 years ago or more, please call a Customer Care Representative at 1-800-766-4622, see hours of operation. Automated service is available 24/7.

• How do I check my balance?

  Log in and your balance will appear on the main page of your account page. If you do not have an online account you can get your account information by calling a Customer Care representative at 1-800-766-4622, see hours of operation. Automated service is available 24/7.

• What if I forget my username or password?

  Go to the reset your password page and follow the instructions. You will be asked to enter your email address, username and answer the challenge questions. If you do not remember your Username, please contact Customer Service at 1-800-766-4622.

• How do I enroll in online access?

  To enroll in online access, go to the GMAC Mortgage homepage and select Enroll Now below the login box. Follow the steps to create your secure GMAC Mortgage online account.

If you log in from a computer you haven't registered with us, we'll ask you one of your 3 challenge questions to verify your identity. If someone steals your username and password, challenge questions provide an additional preventive measure to keep them from accessing your account.

• What is a trusted image and phrase?

  The trusted image and phrase provides an additional level of security. When you sign up for an account with us, you will be asked to select a unique image and phrase. When you log in, we'll display the image and phrase you chose to let you know you're on the real gmacmortgage.com. If you're at a computer that is not registered with us then you will be prompted to answer a challenge question before we show your trusted image and phrase. Never enter your password or other personal information if you do not see your image and phrase.

• How do I change or reset my trusted image, phrase or challenge questions?

  You can change your trusted image, phrase, or challenge questions at any time. To make any changes to this information:

  2. Go to My Profile
  3. Select either Trusted Image and Phrase or Challenge Questions
  4. Follow the instructions to make your updates
